Here are some events that have taken place at Bond's Corners:
  • between 1835 and 1840 Giles Chambers obtained Lot 13, Concession 2 from the Government.
  • in 1855 Mr. Chambers and some members of the Bond Family had the schoolhouse erected.
  • by 1880 there were 107 pupils attending with Dick Costain as the teacher.
  • in 1990 H. P. Wilford purchased land to make the schoolgrounds the required one acre size.
  • also in 1900 the original school was remodelled at a cost of $500.
  • later that year fire completely destroyed the building.
  • in 1907 a new school was erected.
  • in 1950 a second single-room school was erected just a few feet north of the existing building.
  • before 1955 another single-room school was erected on the property just south of the main school.
  • early 1969 the 3 rooms were closed and the students were transfered to the school in Innerkip.
